Repair that keeps the photograph believable

The aim is not to make an old photograph look modern. It is to remove damage while preserving the character of the original image.

What was repaired here

Judgement matters as much as repair

Good restoration is not just about removing damage. It is about deciding what to repair, what to preserve and what not to invent.

How payment works

A simple, clear payment process

No work begins until you approve the quote. You will always know the cost before committing.

01

Send your photo

Email your photograph for assessment. A scan is ideal, but a clear phone photo is usually enough to begin.

02

Receive your quote

You’ll receive a clear assessment, quoted cost, payment details and expected turnaround before any work begins.

03

Approve and pay

For work under £150, full payment is taken before restoration begins. For work at £150 and above, a 50% deposit secures the booking and the balance is due before final delivery.

Payment can be made by UK bank transfer, PayPal, or secure invoice link. International clients are responsible for any bank charges, transfer fees, or currency conversion costs.

You will always receive a clear quote before any restoration begins. There is no obligation to proceed after assessment. Some photographs cannot be perfectly recovered. Missing detail may need to be reconstructed rather than restored.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is a phone photo enough for an assessment?

Yes. A clear phone photo is usually enough to assess the work and provide a quote.

Can badly damaged photographs still be improved?

Often. Tears, creases, fading and missing areas can usually be improved significantly, although some missing detail may need reconstruction.

Will I receive a quote before any work begins?

Yes. Every photograph is assessed and quoted before work begins.

How do I pay for the service?

Payment can be made by UK bank transfer, PayPal, or secure invoice link. Full payment is usually taken upfront for smaller jobs, while larger restorations may be split between a deposit and final balance.

What will I receive when the work is complete?

A high-quality digital file suitable for printing and archiving.

Do I need to post the original photograph?

Usually not. The work is normally carried out from digital copies.

Do you work with clients outside the UK?

Yes. Photographs can be sent by email from anywhere.
